Please read carefully and apply!

Start by selecting the location you wish to receive from the list below.
Currently, there is only one pick-up location available. In the future, we plan to gradually expand the number of pick-up locations in Shingu, Katsuura, and Mie Prefecture, as well as Kii-Tanabe Station.

Fill in the required information & select a payment method to apply.
Enter the required information, including the date of pickup and return, and make payment. Currently, only credit cards are accepted. Also, return is by post-in, so you can rent until the end of your trip in Japan!

Check the email with“Reservation Confirmation”information sent after application.
You will receive an email titled “Reservation Confirmation.” Please keep it safe until you arrive at your destination.

Receive your KUMAPHONE at the pickup location on the day of your trip
Please remember to pick up your KUMAPHONE at the pickup location on the same day. Please note that you will not be able to pick up your KUMAPHONE on any other date than the one you have selected.*The “Reservation Confirmation” e-mail is required to receive KUMAPHONE.

Identification is required for pickup.
Foreign visitors to Japan must present a passport, while residents of Japan must present a driver's license or other photo ID.
1. Prepare and submit a copy of your identification document in advance.
2. Allow us to photograph or copy your identification document on-site.
3. Fill out an identification document yourself on-site.
One of the above methods is required.
*In accordance with the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications' Mobile Phone Fraud Prevention Act, personal information will be securely stored for three years and then properly disposed of.
We will not provide this information to third parties except when required by law or to necessary service providers (such as payment processors). The information collected will be used for the following purposes:
・Providing rental services and verifying identity
・Managing reservations, returns, billing, etc.
・Responding to inquiries
・Preventing fraud and ensuring security
・Analyzing data for service improvement

How to return after use

By the return date, please put

in the special envelope provided when you received the handset and drop it in a nearby post box to complete your return.
Please make sure to drop the envelope in the mailbox by the return date.
<Failure/Trouble>
In the unlikely event that your smartphone or accessories malfunction during use, please contact us at
or chat on our website, and return the device to the trouble terminal return address.
The day you contact us will be the return date and the difference will be refunded.
*Because of the nature of the Kumano Kodo trail, where you will be moving from one place to another, we are unable to provide a replacement device.
*This includes malfunctions caused by dropping the device.

<Theft/Loss>
First, please contact us at the contact information below or chat with us on our website. In case of loss, the stated warranty fee will be required. In case of theft, the customer is required to report the theft to the local police station. If you report the theft, the guarantee fee will not be required.

We use a communications line with good signal connectivity, but there are some areas that are out of range.
The rental fee includes round-trip shipping and insurance coverage for the smartphone and accessories against breakage, damage, water damage, and theft.
In case of theft, the customer is required to report the theft to the nearest police station.
In the event of loss, the insurance will not apply and the customer will be charged 20,000 yen per device and 500 yen per accessory for the warranty.
